X6 xDrive35i
TwinPower Turbo direct injection inline 6-cylinder 300 horsepower xDrive, intelligent all-wheel-drive 20 mpg hwy*
Model Highlights
The coupe's evil twin.
It's a robust retort to all preconceptions of what a coupe must be. Four doors, high ride, and a V-8 twin-turbo with BMW's xDrive, intelligent all-wheel-drive system, make it a coupe outlaw that grips corners mercilessly. The BMW X6. It takes a coupe to a coupe above
Safety & Security
Run-Flat Tires
These self-supporting tires with integrated reinforcements allow tires that have experienced a loss of air pressure to maintain their shape and full use. In fact, you can drive on a flat for up to 150 miles at reduced speeds, so you don't have to stop in an unsafe area to change a tire or wait for roadside assistance.*
* Cars with run-flat tires do not come equipped with a spare tire. Due to low profile tires, please note that wheels, tires and suspension parts are more susceptible to road hazard and consequential damages.

Performance & Efficiency
6-speed STEPTRONIC with Paddle Shifters
Can a vehicle be too responsive? Not if you're looking for a dynamic performance that actually adapts to the way you drive. Our 6-speed STEPTRONIC automatic transmission adapts to every driver differently, resulting in improved gear shifting, a more responsive performance, and reduced fuel consumption.
It operates in three modes: sport, which features higher shift points for more lively response; drive, which incorporates BMW's Adaptive Transmission Control; and manual, which allows the driver to assume control of gear selection.
In short, 6-speed automatic transmission provides faster, smoother shifting and enhanced fuel-economy. And if equipped with our Formula 1 inspired steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, you can upshift and downshift quickly without using a clutch.

Dynamic Performance Control
Fusing with xDrive, BMW’s intelligent all-wheel-drive system, to allow for new directional stability and precision in all conditions, Dynamic Performance Control varies power between the two rear wheels to improve control and pulling force on different surfaces.
3.0-liter, TwinPower Turbocharged 6-cylinder engine, 300 hp
Generating 300 hp and 300 lb.-ft. of torque at 1400-1500 rpms, this advanced inline six is our first turbocharged engine offered in the U.S. in decades. Turbo lag has been virtually eliminated, thanks to Double-VANOS "steplessly" variable valve timing, direct fuel injection, and BMW's inspired use of the latest TwinPower Turbo technology. By using direct fuel injection - a high precision fuel injection system - we have overcome the traditionally poor gas mileage of turbocharging. The engine's innovative design includes an all-aluminum engine block with cast iron sleeves for durability, and a direct fuel injection system that also cools the engine. A cooler engine allows for a higher compression ratio (10.2:1 vs. 6:1 and 7:1 in other turbos), which translates into superior emission control, greater fuel efficiency and, most importantly, a thrilling performance.
xDrive, intelligent all-wheel-drive system
Unlike other all-wheel-drive systems, we've built ours with rear wheel bias for surefooted grip on slick roads, without sacrificing the feel of rear wheel drive. It smartly sends power to the wheel or wheels with the surest footing - and it does so in milliseconds. That means under normal conditions, drive forces are spread out with a rear-wheel bias. But the moment the system senses excessive wheel slip, it subtly shifts torque to meet the changing conditions, offering maximum available traction and superior handling on all surfaces.
Active Steering
When BMW first introduced Active Steering to the market in 2003, our drivers weren't the only ones who were impressed. It received the Innovation Award of German Industry, too. The technology allows for a variable steering ratio based on your speed. At low speeds, steering is nimble (10:1) for easy navigation in tight spaces. At high speeds, greater movement of the steering wheel is required to turn the front wheels the same amount (18:1), for increased stability. Most car companies split the difference with a constant 14:1 ratio, but we're not ones to compromise - even with our steering ratio.
Entertainment
BMW Assist MyInfo
BMW's partnership with Google allows X6 drivers with a BMW Assist account to save time and easily enter addresses into their BMW Navigation system right from their computer. Drivers simply visit maps.google.com and search for a business or street address and send it along with the phone number to their BMW. Once in the X6, all the new addresses can be found under the BMW Assist menu option; then route guidance or a call with a Bluetooth® linked mobile phone can be started with a single touch of a button. Destinations and address details can be stored in the X6 for future use.
DVD Player with Rear Entertainment Stystem
With a 6-disc DVD player located in the glove compartment for easy access, the X6 includes the option of both front and rear screens and supports multi-channel audio sources.
16 Speaker HD Surround Sound
The optional X6 Logic7 Sound System comes complete with an available 16 speakers, better spatial sound, multi-channel audio, and an overall outstanding reproduction quality. In addition, real-time equalizing means each individual seat can receive the ideal mix. Optional HD radio technology comes with crystal-clear digital sound, noise-free reception, both analog and digital formats, and streaming artist and song information, where radio stations have made content available.
iPod/iPhone USB Integrated System
When we wanted to connect an MP3 player directly to our vehicle's sound system, we went straight to the experts at Apple. Together, we created the world's first seamless integrated system of iPod and automobile. Just plug your iPod or iPhone into the adapter accessory. Control the volume and your playlists through the multifunction steering wheel, while your iPod or iPhone stays out of view with a constant flow of power. There's also a convenient, standard auxiliary input jack, which allows you to play any MP3 through the audio system.
Comfort & Convenience
Climate Control & Ventilation
Electronic climate zone controls allow the driver to select a lower air temperature for around the head and chest than in the footwell. With automatic recirculation control, when a sensor detects certain pollutants in the air, such as carbon monoxide or ethanols, it automatically switches to recirculating air. Twin active-charcoal micro-filters significantly help reduce air pollutants, such as dust, bacteria and odors, from entering the cabin.
Rear Seating
With four individual seats and DVD players in both the front and rear, the X6 boasts backseat comfort to rival the front-seat.
Premium Seating
Interior premium options include anthracite headliner and the choice between sport seats and multi-contour seats.
Luggage/Cargo Capacity
With 25.6 cubic feet of trunk storage and a massive 59.7 cubic feet of seat-down storage, the X6 boasts incredible room. More than the Porsche Cayenne with the rear seats down, the space comfortably fits everything you’d ever want from a weekend’s worth of camping equipment to golf bags for you and three friends.
Onboard Navigation System with Traffic Alerts
With the route taken care of, you can concentrate on more important things - like enjoying every twist and turn along the way. Our optional onboard navigation system, controlled via iDrive, uses GPS satellites, a digital map and, where available, Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI) to guide you to your destination. Choose the fastest route, the shortest route or the one that avoids traffic. Where available, traffic information is received by a separate radio tuner and then displayed on the navigation system. You don't have to listen to a specific radio station, or even have the radio on, to receive updates every few minutes. And you can see everything clearly on the large, high-resolution screen.
